Dr. Vivek Chemmacheri Kokkammadathil is an Honorary Post- Doctoral Fellow at the Institute of Contemporary Chinese Studies (ICCS), Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kerala, and earned his PhD from the School of International Relations and Politics (SIRP) at MG University, Kottayam, under the supervision of Dr. C. Vinodan, Director of SIRP. His doctoral research focused on Disaster Management, specifically Disaster Risk Reduction in South Asia. As a post-doctoral fellow, his current research involves a comparative analysis of disaster risk management policies and practices in India, China, and the United States.
Dr. Rini Rachel Abraham is an engineer turned social science major holding Ph.D from the University of Kerala on South-South Development Cooperation with a special focus on India’s role in South Asia and how India’s development cooperation differs from that of China.
She has published in reputed academic journals, including articles on China’s Belt and Road Initiative and its implications for India. Her areas of special interest include South Asia, India- China studies, Indo-Pacific and West Asia.
Dr. Rini Rachel Abraham is now engaged in further research in the area of China’s Indo-Pacific strategy at the ICCS.
